  1. Hi Ros,
Thanks for your msg. Much appreciated. In response:

Setting up free Wifi enabled network for the area covered on the walk for this small budget temporary project was beyond its scope. The project was created with the aid of a small grant from Melbourne City Council.

    >No artist info at the site?
Thanks good point, I’ll add some info on the site.
    > Who are the voices?
Voices in the audio episodes are the voices of actors. Everything heard in the audio episodes is recreation. Credit information for actors and contributors is accessed once the QR’s are scanned. If you mean who are the characters appearing? Then a stylistic choice was made to blend factual accounts (Batman, Guicci) with dramatization the English Lady and Union Rep).

    > Very different from the indigenous free inclusive friendly soundwalk I went on in the morning.
I’m not sure about the point your making here, not all soundwalks are the same. I take it your reference to free and ‘inclusive’ relates to the fact that you didn’t need a smartphone to do the indigenous soundwalk. The MP3 version of the soundwalk was added to the site to open up access for non-mobile phone users, and the content of the Docklands SoundWalk I guess is similar to the other free online content whether it is podcast, article, free album or youtube clip, it is free but the teleco’s will charge for the data usage dependent on users plans.

    >There are other interactive sound events, eg parks in NSW
Yes of course. However, the Docklands SoundWalk describes itself as innovative because its a locative project utilizing QR codes, not necessarily because its interactive.

Would be really happy to chat further about all this stuff and I do appreciate your comments Ros. Look forward to your reply.
